• What to Expect in Vocal Lessons

    1

These are not your typical lessons.

Expect to wait on Holy Spirit first. You may or may not sing a single note if He wants to work on any stress, heart blocks, or mental hurdles. This work will be done according to what the Spirit sees of first importance. There will be time allowance at the end of each lesson in case He wants extra space. We are not on our time, we are on His.

This will be key in experiencing vocal freedom, longevity, and health.

    2

We do not strive or push you.

You will receive quality advanced technical instruction passed down from professional vocalists, suited for all levels. This instruction will also be a vital piece of education, and will not be ignored.

In this environment, speech is always positive about the learning process. You will not be asked to strive beyond what the Lord is asking you to do. Speaking life over yourself may be challenging in the process, but you instructor is there to gently lead you as you learn.

Your growth with the Lord is more important to us than your musical ability.

Our call is not greater than loving Him, knowing Him, & following Him. When He calls, He his own blueprint, as His thoughts are higher than ours. Your instructor will always yield to the growth He wants to highlight. From personal experience, we know this leads to greater musical ability & refinement in creativity.

    Joy and laughter!

Despite the tone and sobriety of this page, we are GOOFY & laid back! We enjoy JOY. Truly, we love life with the Lord. Let's share in joy and fun together!

Onto the next sobering point :D

    All out of love. <3

    5

Cultivating your pure heart gives life to pure creativity.

You will be mentored to give Him different aspects of your creativity, when He is ready to reveal that. The goal is you will not leave the same way you came in. (YAY!) There may be aspects of former musical training/former thinking that He may be asking you to lay down.

Keep in mind, the things you are invited to lay down may be things He has asked your instructors to pick up & vice versa. Our walks are different. We will always listen to His leading for this & not assume your journey is the same. Prepare your heart to lay things on His altar, as He is purifying you for your good & His glory. You may be amazed at the sounds & songs that come fourth!

    (we *heart* dad jokes)

You are invited by the King! §]:D

We want you to practice (of course), but when Jesus leads you. We are big believers that anything He calls you to lay down is an invitation from Him. You have the freedom to say yes or no as you are invited into this kind of deeper humility with Him. We hope you say yes, but if you are not ready, He will prepare you for the next time He invites you. He will not force you & neither will we.
